Scheduled Maintenance Complete at 2:10am

Sunday, October 28th, 2007

The scheduled maintenance this morning was started at approximately 1:00am central time and was completed at approximately 2:10am central time for all servers and gateways.  All systems are up and running with no issues at this time.

Please contact support@easyantispam.com if you are seeing any problems or have any questions.

Reminder: Planned Maintenance Tonight

Saturday, October 27th, 2007

On Sunday, October 28th, 2007 from 1:00 am to 6:00 am CST, we will be performing maintenance on mf1 and mf2.  Our gateways will be moved to a new rack in the datacenter that we are currently housed in.

Please note that each gateway will only be down for about a half hour or so, and any mail will be spooled by the sending server so no messages will be lost during this time.

Additionally, our other servers, including those that house the easyantispam.com and protectedmail.net sites, will be migrated as well and will experience the same downtime stated above.

We will post an update here when the move is complete.

Reminder: Sender Verify Callout is BAD

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007

Please note that if you’re using Sender Verify Callout on your server (also called Address Verification among other things), we’d like to once again remind you that this is not a good idea when using Easy Antispam.

Please see the following knowledgebase article for full details:

Easy Antispam Service News

Thursday, October 18th, 2007

Hello all.  Keep an eye out during the next week or two for some exciting new updates to the Easy Antispam system.

Our customer web interface is coming along quite nicely, and will be particularly useful when it comes to adding, deleting, or moving domains, as well as choosing which domains have protection enabled on your server.

We are currently getting our Domain Protect system ready for roll out.  This is the perfect solution for domain owners that want the reliability and ease of Easy Antispam along with the competitive pricing that our customers demand.

We are also updating our website.  It’s getting almost a complete makeover to reflect the  changes in service, as well as to keep up with the times.

To date for the month of October, our MF2 gateway has blocked the following with a total uptime of 100%:

RBL           17,357,365         79.23%  0 B
Ham            2,056,652          9.39%  197.01 GB
Spam           1,545,441          7.05%  7.31 GB
RP DNS          638,999          2.92%  0 B
RFC                 175,867          0.80%  0 B
RP Sanity       106,387          0.49%  0 B
Virus                 15,273          0.07%  1.0 MB
Redlist               11,621          0.05%  0 B
Size Ext.                806          0.00%  7.33 GB

“Ham” is the amount of valid email that has been sent on to inboxes.  As you can see, this accounts for 9.38% of incoming mail to our gateway.

The stats for MF1 will be available in my next post.

 Thanks for using Easy Antispam!!
