Auto-Domains Is Gone
by George RobertsThe auto-domain system is now turned off and to add or remove domains you need to now go to http://manage.easyantispam.com/ and manage your servers. You can now Add, Delete, Disable and Enable domains. When adding domains you can add more than one by putting each domain on a separate line in the add domain box. Please contact support if you have any questions.

Thank you very much for this change!

Very, very good decision! Those huge amounts of SMTP requests with “invalid user” were driving my server crazy. Having to add domains manually, but is bulk, is fine, although an automated interface (webservice?) would be even better. Keep up the good work.

We’re concentrating on the web interface first, but will circle back around and build a web service afterwards for those that want to integrate into their workflow.

EXCELLENT work. You guys pushed hard to get this done and I really appreciate it. Building an API will be a piece of cake now and we can prevent users from “adding themselves” to the service and get paid for the service like we should. I agree, the “invalid user” deal was causing hundreds of thousands of lookups on all our servers - it’s nice to have them gone.
^5 George and Ken, you deserve it!

In the future please give us 48 hours notice via e-mail before removing features. I now have to scramble to add domains. Not all of my domains are in the system and now I have to go through each one by hand.

Nathan,
Normally we would give even more notice than that, and I apologize for the late notice. There were a few things that came into play on this:
1) We’re in the process of trying to finish and launch our DomainProtect service and this change was crucial to that. We’re trying to get DomainProtect launched to coincide with our presence at PubCon next week, so we were tight on time.
2) We wanted to make the change late at night on Sunday so the notice could go out and be in everyone’s inbox on Monday morning.
I agree that it is more ideal to give more notice and we will endeavour to do so in the future when there is a change like this.

Oh, and BTW you can just go and paste the whole list of domains into the “Add domain” entry and it will just skip the ones that are already there.

Thanks a lot, perhaps now you can add a bulk removal method also. But now I have more control over my service
