Easy Antispam Service Update

Thursday, October 11th, 2007

At approximately 12:45 am CST on October 10th, 2007, the virus filtering program on our mf1 gateway got hung up on a process.  As a result, almost 63,000 messages had to be put into the Unscanned queue.  This caused a delay in receipt of messages that had been sent overnight.

The issue was resolved at 10:00 am CST, and mail flow has returned to normal.  No messages were lost as a result of this issue.

Report Center Working Again

Saturday, August 25th, 2007

Some of you may have noticed that the Report Center was showing no data for the last 5 or 6 days.  We’ve been working to correct the issue and I’m happy to report that it’s been corrected.

Reports from yesterday are now available and new report data will be available after midnight tonight.

MF2 issue

Tuesday, July 31st, 2007

At approximately 10:30am central time today MF2 experienced a problem with its Virus scanning engine, causing all incoming mail to be placed in the “unscanned” queue and not processed.  Working with MailFoundry we have identified the issue and corrected it.

As of 11:45am central time, MF2 was processing the backlog of mail from the “unscanned queue” and delivering it in addition to handling new incoming mail.  We will be monitoring the situation closely to ensure that all backlogged mail continues to get processed properly and that the gateway is running smoothly.

Problem Found With New Quarantine Digests

Wednesday, July 4th, 2007

A problem was found and corrected with the digest delivery from the new quarantine system.  Database tuning on July 2, 2007 caused an issue with the digest delivery mechanism and caused digests to not be delivered on the 2nd through 4th.  Digests are being delivered right now and will contain all quarantined messages for the days the digest was not sent.
